Security Guard Training

28 hour “G” Armed Security Officer Training Course

Our 28 hour “G” Armed Security Officer training course also does not include any short cuts. We cover all rules and regulations mandated by the State of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Our instructors are state certified and have years of experience in the field. You must have successfully passed and or currently hold a “D” Unarmed Security Officer certification to attend this course. If you do not currently own or possess the proper, safe and operational equipment necessary to work as an armed guard, we will provide it for the purpose of qualifying for an additional fee.

Our course will include at a minimum 5 hours of firearms and range training. Qualifying course of fire will be in accordance with Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Firearms Instructor Training Manual (01/2014) and will include a total of 3 strings of 48 rounds each (144 rounds total), including a practice string. A minimum passing score of 168 points must be obtained during the subsequent 2 strings of fire.

4 hour “G” Armed Security Officer Annual Requalification

You must provide 4 hours of annual requalification EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2013. In accordance with Sate law, our requalification course will review the general provisions for armed security work and cover basic firearms safety, use, and qualification course of fire.  

Remedial firearms’ training is available, priced in accordance with level of training.

SPECIAL NOTE: Job Placement Available for students successfully passing this course and getting certified through State of Florida.

Course Fee: Unarmed 40 hour “D” Licensed Security Guard $250

Armed 28 hour “G” Licensed Security Guard $200 + range and ammunition cost.

Yearly Armed 4 hour “G” Qualification $85 + range and ammunition cost
